It is Santa Margherita Ligure, a town of about 10.500 inhabitants in Liguria, in the Province of Genoa.

It is in the Riviera di Levante and it is a very well known seaside resort on the Tigullio Gulf.
The origins of the town are very old and its foundation is generally attributed to the Romans.

The economy of Santa Margherita Ligure is mainly linked to seaside tourism.
